We see a lot women (and men) of all ages for natural hormone therapy. In fact, it’s one of the biggest areas of our practice. This includes women of all ages, as a person’s hormonal balance is constantly shifting throughout their lives.
We spend a lot of time with our patients identifying the underlying cause of hormone imbalance. This is a much more detailed approach than the standard ‘one size fits all’ of hormone therapy that is so common today.
Natural Hormone Therapy
Different women have different reasons for hormone imbalance. It could be their particular age, life stressors, diet or other health issues. There are always multiple factors that set the body into imbalance, and we take these into account before initiating any natural hormone therapy.
One of the most common conditions we see is estrogen dominance; it can affect women of all ages. Hormone imbalances including estrogen dominance appear as severe premenstrual syndrome (PMS) in young women, to irritability and anxiety in middle-aged women, to hot flashes, night sweats and other symptoms in peri- and post-menopausal women. Or, many women just don’t feel right and simply feel “off”.
While it’s ‘normal’ to have some monthly symptoms associated with hormones, they really should be quite minimal and not cause one’s life to be on hold. Any symptoms that affect your daily life (and sleep!) are probably more than normal and thus signify an imbalance.
We utilize both blood and saliva tests to determine a woman’s hormonal status. Once we know this, we can start to understand how to correct the imbalance, and get you feeling better again.

Hormones = Fountain of Youth
Our hormones are our fountain of youth. We begin to age when they decline. While this is normal, imbalances and their side effects (no matter what age) contribute to fairly significant lifestyle issues.
Besides quality of life issues, when hormones begin to truly decline this comes with a significant risk of other potentially serious health issues like bone fractures (osteoporosis), heart disease, cognitive decline (dementia), sexual dysfunction, and a host of mental-emotional problems like irritability, depression and anxiety.
By determining which hormones are out of balance, and using natural hormone therapy to correct it, we can prevent many of these conditions.
